Get ready spend an inspirational evening with some of the most creative and inventive song writers in this part of the world. For two inspirational nights, four talented songwriters will gather on one stage to share their songwriting craft along with the motivation and inspiration behind every song. Each writer also plans to pick one song by another Texas songwriter that has influenced their work. The evening will close with a sing-a-long so the whole audience can join in.

The Songwriters Song Circle features the following Texas songwriters:

Danny Everitt, is a three-time nominee for “Singer/Songwriter of the Year” by the Academy of Texas Music. His songs have been expressed in Pop, R&B, Folk and Country music through such diverse artists as Shake Russell, The Animals, Teresa James & the Rhythm Tramps, Scott McGill & Old Dog Mac, Demis Russos, Bob Bourgoin, Coco Kallis, Brook Benton and Johnny Nash. As a past “New Folk” Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival he fearlessly transcends genres and draws from everything around him. His live performances are at once intense and soothing. Every song goes straight from the heart to the point. His voice is timeless; his guitar and harmonica work is natural and luminous. He combines a broad musical background with a wide range of emotions and appeals to everyone within earshot. They call it Americana music. Danny tours solo, appearing at festivals, listening rooms and house concerts year round.

Allison & Josh Brown – Shy Tree, is a female-fronted alternative rock band making waves in today's relevant music scene. The band got their start 2 years ago in Las Vegas, NV where they wrote, recorded, and toured their first album, Sunshine and Sidewalks (2008). It's positive radio friendly vibe took root and propelled the band forward to continue to write and play their music across the U.S. Now, with the Central Texas area as their base of operations, the members of Shy Tree continue to give every bit of themselves and keep pushing the envelope. They are releasing their second Album, Escape the Cage in May of this year and it promises both lyrical honesty and musical originality combined to create a phenomenal and exciting second release for the band.

Richard Paul Thomas, his friends call him RpT, is a Salado resident, singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer who has been performing for over 40 years. In years past, Thomas has performed throughout the United States in concert with such artists as Anne Murray, Loggins & Messina, Helen Ready, James Lee Stanley, Odetta, Michael Martin Murphey, Townes Van Zandt and many others. He worked for two years with Jacques Cousteau's Involvement Day, an environmental celebration of the planet Earth. Recently, RpT was presented with a proclamation stating that Salado, one of RpT's songs from the play Captured Rainbow, has been adopted by the Village of Salado as its own recognizing the contribution that singer, songwriter and dreamer, Richard Paul Thomas, has embodied in this melody representing our spirit, character and history. He is working on his new CD to be released later this year.
