Mary is a native Saladoan who spent many childhood hours on the banks of Salado Creek.  After graduating high school, she earned her B.S. in English and Drama from UMHB and her M.A. in Literature and Technical Writing from Texas State University San Marcos.  She has acted in and directed over 20 shows among which are her favorites: "I Do! I Do!" "Can-Can," 'A Few Good Men," "Mame," "Steel Magnolias," and "Side By Side By Sondheim."  Mary and her son, Alex, currently reside in Salado where she is the senior English teacher at Salado High School.
